“স্যার জগদীশচন্দ্র তাহার বিপুল কর্মব্যস্ততার মধ্যেও অবকাশ পাইলে আমাকে ডাকিয়া রাজনৈতিক ও বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে আলােচনা করিতেন। তিনি গান্ধীর সত্যাগ্রহ, হরতাল, ত্রয়ী বর্জন, অহিংস, অসহযােগ আন্দোলন প্রভৃতি কিছুই সমর্থন করিতেন না। গান্ধীর সত্যাগ্রহ, বাধাপ্রদান (picketing) এবং বর্জন তিনি কপট অহিংসার আবরণে হিংসার লীলাখেলা বলিয়া মনে করিতেন।
তিনি আরও বলিতেন যে, হিন্দুগণ সাম্প্রদায়িক ভিত্তিতে সুসংগঠিত না হইলে ভারতের কোনই কল্যাণ নাই।
প্রসঙ্গক্রমে উল্লেখযােগ্য যে, স্যার জগদীশের মৃত্যুর পর তদীয় পত্নী শ্রদ্ধেয়া লেডী বসু স্যার জগদীশের নামে কলিকাতা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে হিন্দু ছাত্রগণের জন্য একটি বাৎসরিক বিশেষ বৃত্তিদান ব্যবস্থার সংকল্প জ্ঞাপন করিয়াছিলেন। কিন্তু কেবলমাত্র হিন্দু ছাত্রগণের জন্যই ঐ বৃত্তিটি নির্ধারিত হওয়াতে তৎকালীন মু∆লমান মন্ত্রিগণ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় হইতে উহার ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করিতে স্বীকৃত হইলেন না। যাহা হউক, শ্রদ্ধেয়া লেডী বসু ভিন্নভাবে হিন্দু ছাত্রগণের জন্যই সেই বৃত্তিটি প্রদানের ব্যবস্থা করিয়াছেন।...”

"Sir Jagadish Chandra used to call me for leisure in his busy schedule and discuss various political and other issues. He did not support anything like Gandhi's satyagraha, hartal, trio boycott, non-violence, non-cooperation movement etc. Gandhi's satyagraha, picketing and exclusion were considered by him to be a game of violence under the guise of hypocritical non-violence.
He further said that if Hindus were not well organized on communal basis, there would be no welfare in India.
It may be mentioned here that after the death of Sir Jagadish, his wife Shraddheya Lady Bose had proposed an annual special scholarship scheme for Hindu students at the University of Calcutta in the name of Sir Jagadish. But since the scholarship was reserved for Hindu students only, the then Muslim ministers did not agree to take it from the university.
