Hinduism is actually a geographical identity: BJP's Ashwini Kumar Chaube claims
Hyderabad: 'Hindu' is actually a geographical identity!
All the people who live in the land between the Himalayas and the Indian Ocean are Hindus! Such was the demand of Union Minister Ashwini Kumar Chaubere on Saturday. Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Environment made the remarks at the 10th 'Digital Hindu Conclave' organized by Bharat Niti Sansthan in Hyderabad. “Many foreign scholars agree with the fact that our country is a land of knowledge. We should all be proud to be Indians. I say Hinduism is a way of life and we should never limit the word 'Hindu' to certain boundaries. Hinduism is a geographical identity. All the people living between the Himalayas and the Indian Ocean are Hindus,” says Ashwini Kumar Choubey.
Apart from Ashwini Kumar Chaubey, senior BJP leader Muralidhar Rao and party MP Manoj Tiwari were also present on the occasion. Ashwini Kumar Choubey said in the event that the presence of the people of the northern as well as the southern states in this event is a symbol of the unity and strength of the country.
“India is an example of a vibrant democracy that the world has embraced. We consider our country as our mother and we call India as 'Bharat Mata'. This is what separates us from the rest,” says Ashwini Kumar Choubey. About the NDA government's efforts to save the river, he said, the government has launched the 'Namami Gange' project for the conservation and rejuvenation of the river Ganga. About 1,000 young social media activists participated in the event, a statement said.
