The first Hindu temple is being built in the United Arab Emirates | UAE | Hindu Temple
The UAE is a bit different from other countries in the Middle East. The country's liberal approach, especially on trade, has set the country apart.
The Emirates is gradually becoming the heart of global trade. It is also one of the entertainment destinations. Again the demand of the country as a tourist center is increasing every day.
India has a huge trade relationship with the Emirates. Therefore, Emirates has always maintained warm friendly relations with India. During the Corona period, that relationship has deepened.
To take this relationship of friendship to another height, the country's first Hindu temple is being built in Abu Dhabi. Though not officially inaugurated yet, the temple is partially operational.
The grand opening is scheduled to take place in October. The Indian Foreign Minister has already visited the temple in Abu Dhabi. No iron is used in its manufacture.
This temple in Abu Dhabi is being built with sandstone. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the construction of this temple through video conference.
There are 16 deities in this huge temple. The idols have been enshrined through 9 days of special worship. At the end of August, the Sikh scripture - Granth Saheb was established.
About 3 million Indians live in the Emirates. They are very happy to build a temple there. It is known that about 2250 tons of stones were used to build the temple.
This temple is built in Jebel Ali village of Abu Dhabi. But not only this Hindu temple, many churches have been built in Jebel village before.
At present about 14 priests are associated with that temple. Temple activities are going on from 7 am to 11:30 am.

আমিরাত ধীরে ধীরে বিশ্ব বাণিজ্যের প্রাণকেন্দ্র হয়ে উঠছে। এটি বিনোদনের অন্যতম গন্তব্যও বটে। আবার পর্যটন কেন্দ্র হিসেবে দেশের চাহিদা প্রতিদিনই বাড়ছে।
আমিরাতের সঙ্গে ভারতের বিশাল বাণিজ্যিক সম্পর্ক রয়েছে। তাই এমিরেটস সবসময় ভারতের সাথে উষ্ণ বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ সম্পর্ক বজায় রেখেছে। করোনার সময়ে সেই সম্পর্ক আরও গভীর হয়েছে।
বন্ধুত্বের এই সম্পর্ককে অন্য উচ্চতায় নিয়ে যেতে আবুধাবিতে তৈরি হচ্ছে দেশের প্রথম হিন্দু মন্দির। আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে উদ্বোধন না হলেও মন্দিরটি আংশিকভাবে চালু রয়েছে।
অক্টোবরে জমকালো উদ্বোধন হওয়ার কথা রয়েছে। ভারতের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ইতিমধ্যে আবুধাবিতে মন্দির পরিদর্শন করেছেন। এর তৈরিতে কোনো লোহা ব্যবহার করা হয় না।
আবুধাবির এই মন্দিরটি বেলেপাথর দিয়ে তৈরি করা হচ্ছে। ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে এই মন্দির নির্মাণের উদ্বোধন করেন ভারতের প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি।
বিশাল এই মন্দিরে ১৬টি দেবতা রয়েছে। ৯ দিনের বিশেষ পূজার মধ্য দিয়ে প্রতিমা বিসর্জন করা হয়েছে। আগস্টের শেষ দিকে শিখ ধর্মগ্রন্থ-গ্রন্থ সাহেব প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়।
আমিরাতে প্রায় 3 মিলিয়ন ভারতীয় বাস করে। সেখানে মন্দির তৈরি করে তারা খুবই খুশি। জানা যায়, মন্দিরটি নির্মাণে প্রায় 2250 টন পাথর ব্যবহার করা হয়েছিল।
এই মন্দিরটি আবুধাবির জেবেল আলি গ্রামে নির্মিত। তবে শুধু এই হিন্দু মন্দির নয়, জেবেল গ্রামে এর আগেও অনেক গির্জা তৈরি হয়েছে।
বর্তমানে প্রায় ১৪ জন পুরোহিত ওই মন্দিরের সঙ্গে যুক্ত। সকাল ৭টা থেকে সাড়ে ১১টা পর্যন্ত মন্দিরের কার্যক্রম চলে।
