আফগানিস্তান ছিল বৈদিক সংস্কৃতির বড় কেন্দ্র | Afghanistan was a great center of Vedic culture

কাবুল ছিল মহান হিন্দু শাহী রাজাদের রাজধানী। আফগানিস্তান ছিল বৈদিক সংস্কৃতির একটি বড় কেন্দ্র। আফগানিস্তানে অনেক হিন্দু মন্দির ছিল। কাবুলের কিছু মন্দির সাম্প্রতিক অশান্তি থেকে বেঁচে গেছে। 

অসমাই হিন্দু মন্দির, পুরাতন শহর, দরগা, আসামাই: অসমাই মন্দিরটি আফগানিস্তানের রাজধানীর কেন্দ্রীয় পাহাড় অসমায়ীর (কোহ-ই-আসামায়ি) পাদদেশে অবস্থিত। আশার দেবী আশার নামানুসারে পাহাড়টির নাম রাখা হয়েছে অসমাই, প্রাচীনকাল থেকেই পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় উপস্থিত ছিলেন বলে জানা গেছে। সেখানে অখন্ড জ্যোতি বহু শতাব্দী ধরে অবিরাম জ্বলছে। মন্দির এবং জ্যোতি কাবুলে অসংখ্য সংঘর্ষ থেকে বেঁচে গেছে । 

বর্তমানে সেই মন্দিরে দুই-তিনজন হিন্দু আছেন ।

বর্তমানে কাবুলে দুটি মন্দির অক্ষত আছে । আসামায়ী মন্দির ও আর্শিনাথ মন্দির উভয় মন্দিরেই দুজন করে সেবাদার আছেন । এবং গজনীতে একটি মন্দির আছে রতন নাথ মন্দির সেখানেও দুজন সেবাদার আছেন যার একজনের নাম রাজা রাম এবং কান্দাহারে একজন বয়স্ক হিন্দু আছেন যার নাম রঘুনাথ উনি একজন ডাক্তার।

আসামায়ী মন্দিরের পূজারী বলেছেন উনি মন্দির ছাড়বেন না। বর্তমানে মন্দিরে উনি,উনার স্ত্রী ও আরেকজন থাকেন এবং পূজার্চনা ও দেখাশোনা করেন।

Kabul was the capital of the great Hindu Shahi kings. Afghanistan was a great center of Vedic culture. There were many Hindu temples in Afghanistan. Few temples in Kabul have survived the recent unrest.

Asmai Hindu Temple, Old City, Dargah, Asmai: The Asmai Temple is located at the foot of Asmai (Koh-i-Asamai), the central hill of the capital of Afghanistan. The hill is named Asmai after Asha, the goddess of hope, who is said to have been present on the hilltop since ancient times. There the Akhand Jyoti has been burning continuously for centuries. Mandir and Jyoti have survived numerous clashes in Kabul.

At present there are two or three Hindus in that temple.

At present there are two temples intact in Kabul. There are two sevadars in both the Asmayi Mandir and Arshinath Mandir. And there is a temple in Ghazni called Ratna Nath temple there also two sevadars one named Raja Ram and in Kandahar there is an old Hindu named Raghunath he is a doctor.

The worshiper of the Asamai temple said that he will not leave the temple. At present he, his wife and another live in the temple and worship and look after it.
