If Narail does not pay 10 lakh Taka, the Gaudiya Math is threatened to be bombed
Narail's Gaudiya Math threatened to blow up with bombs. Unidentified terrorists have threatened to blow up the Gaudiya Math in Kalia, Narail, if Tk 10 lakh is not paid within 72 hours. Ujjwal Roy, district representative from Narail said that according to the details of the GD, around 5:30 pm on March 14, an unknown person called the personal mobile phone of the keeper of the monastery Sar Maharaj from the number 01945563167 and demanded 10 lakh Taka from him. If the money is not paid within 72 hours, the Gaudiya Math threatens to blow it up.
Sar Maharaj said that for the last 30 years he has been serving as the custodian of this monastery. At present there are 20 servants. Local devout Hindus regularly worship there every evening. He now spends his days in fear with the servants and devotees as he threatens to bomb the monastery if he does not pay the money demanded by Bikash.
Nanda Dulal Pal, general secretary of the monastery, said that the Baradia Gaudiya Math of upazila is as old as it is big in Bangladesh. Devotees from different parts of the country along with the sevaks here come here. Sukant Saha, OC of Naragati police station of the upazila, said that a GD has been booked regarding the threat to the mutt keeper. Identification of the attacker is ongoing. He expressed hope that it would be possible to identify him soon.
