Suman Kumar Roy, general secretary of 'Sanatan Party', gave surprising information about the minority Hindu community of Bangladesh
Member Secretary of Gana Odhikar Parishad and former Daksu VP Nurul Haque Nuru said that for 14 years Awami League has not properly investigated and prosecuted even one incident of torture and torture of the minority community. Even though the Awami League mentioned minority protection law and minority enactment in the election manifesto before the election, they did not keep their word. Only minority communities are used as vote banks.
He said these things at a press conference organized by Bangladesh Sanatan Party (BSP) at Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association (CRAB) office on Saturday (March 18) afternoon. The press conference was organized to demand free, fair, impartial elections, fair counting and declaration of results and ensuring the security of minority communities before and after the elections. It was presided over by Bangladesh Sanatan Party (BSP) Honorable President Ashish Kumar Das.
Bangladesh Sanatan Party (BSP) Vice-President Adv. Liton Bonick, General Secretary Add. Suman Kumar Roy, Joint Secretary Sujit Das, Central Committee Member Bikash Adhikari, Dr. Khitish Roy, Amit Kumar Burman, Kamal Pal, Joy Chakraborty, Sabuj Bairagi etc.
Noor said, every election comes, the Sanatani community spends its days in fear of the unknown. Elections mean torture to traditional communities. No matter which party is victorious or which party is defeated, the Sanatani community has to be the victim of all the anger and torture again and again. There is a proverb, "The war between king and king kills reeds and reeds".
In the President's speech, Ashish Kumar Das said that the condition of traditional communities in Bangladesh is now like reeds and reeds. Since the Sanatani community has no real political guardian, they have been the political scapegoat until now. When all parties join ranks in the case of torture, land grabbing and oppression of minority communities, no one is found on the side.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Sanatan Party (BSP) Adv. Suman Kumar Roy said that in the coming days Bangladesh Sanatani Party (BSP) as the real guardian of the Sanatani community of Bangladesh is expressing its determination to stand against all kinds of state discrimination torture and oppression in order to get political rights. Bangladesh Sanatan Party (BSP) will play a constructive role in making the Sanatani community aware and vigilant so that no political party can use the Sanatani community as a political tool in the future.
Vice President of Bangladesh Sanatan Party Ed. Liton Bonik said that the persecution of the minority community is ongoing all over the country. We strongly demand the fair trial of all communal attacks from 2001 to 2023 and the implementation of the recommendations of the Shahbuddin Commission formed after the persecution of minorities in 2001 and the implementation of the Minority Protection Act and the Minority Commission Act announced in the election manifesto of Bangladesh Awami League.
The speakers said that it is very important to empower religious minorities politically to stop the persecution of religious minorities before and after the elections. In that case, in addition to enacting the Minority Protection Act for the sake of the safety of the minority community, increasing party nominations of religious minorities in the National Parliament elections and reservation of seats in the Grand National Assembly in proportion to the population for religious minorities and separate election system for religious minorities will play an effective role.
In their speech, the speakers called on all concerned including the Election Commission to ensure free, fair and impartial elections, fair counting and declaration of results, before and after the elections, to ensure the safety of the minority communities on behalf of the Bangladesh Sanatan Party (BSP) as representatives of the Sanatan community.
